PBIT participates in Pak-China Business Forum 2016

The Pak-China Business Forum 2016 kicked off on Friday 19th March. The forum, being held at the Lahore Expo Center is the biggest Pak-China Business Forum to date, with over 700 delegates participating – which includes 400 Chinese companies and 300 Pakistani companies. The forum has been organized by COMSATS Institute for Information Technology. The Chief Minister of Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, inaugurated the forum, which was followed by a speech by the CEO of the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade, Ms. Amena Cheema.

The forum consists of stalls of various Chinese companies from various sectors and is an opportunity for Pakistani businessmen to meet their Chinese counterparts and hence increase trade between the two countries. The PBIT also had a stall present at the expo center that was accompanied by various advisers. The PBIT is playing a roll as the facilitator for the various Chinese companies and is always present to help them out in any way possible. PBIT team arranged and facilitated B2B meetings and meetings with various governmental organizations on behalf of numerous Chinese companies present at the Expo.

This conference aims to increase bilateral trade with China and to help introduce middle and small sized Pakistani businessmen with their Chinese counterparts. This forum falls under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and this will be a huge boost for Pakistan’s economy. The conference hopes to pave the way for a lasting friendship and increased trade relations with China.
