Punjab Board of Investment and Trade signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Venus Group to mutually promote and facilitate investment in the food sector of the Punjab and to promote food exports. Venus Group's core areas of business include a diversity of areas such as Logistics, Cold Storage, Manufacturing of hygiene products, Hospitality, Security, International Representation Manufacture under license Franchises and Distribution. Venus has recently started its operations in Jacksonville florida with plans to help small traders from Pakistan export and distribute to registered companies in America.
Promotion of Punjab’s agri-products to create trade potential in North American would be taken up within the framework of the MOU. Furthermore, PBIT shall facilitate the company to showcase Punjab’s produce in other international fairs and trade exhibitions to boost exports and to initiate sustainable growth in agri sector. Focal purpose of the memorandum is to initiate joint efforts to unlock the potential and strengthen the development of Punjab, Pakistan’s livestock and agri export industry.
