OIC INAUGURAL DINNER
PBIT hosted an inaugural dinner for the 2nd LCCI-OIC Ambassador and Trade Conference 2014, at Avari Lahore on 11/4/2014. Ch. Muhammad Sarwar Governor of Punjab was the chief guest, Ambassadors of the OIC Countries, local and international businessmen also attended the dinner.
DG Projects from PBIT gave a detail presentation on Role of PBIT in investment promotion in Punjab and on the impact this conference will have on future trade with the OIC countries. He also appreciated LCCI for taking the initiative of holding the conference During his welcome address he mentioned that “There is huge potential for increasing the share of the intra-OIC trade to address the issues of poverty, low economic growth and investment in the member states provided the problems and bottlenecks restricting interaction and cooperation between private sectors of the member states are removed”.
President LCCI also addressed the participants and expressed his gratitude to all the guests for attending and making this conference a success. In the end he thanked Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, PBIT and Pak-Turk Business Association to render great support in holding this conference.
Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar gave concluding remarks and praised efforts of PBIT and LCCI for organizing this successful event which was followed by the conference on April 12, 2014.
